Getting new tyres fitted when your current ones are worn out can be one of those tasks that’s put off indefinitely; fitting a trip to the auto centre in a busy work-life schedule is just another stress added on the to-do pile. But it doesn’t have to be!
With our mobile tyre fitting service, getting your tyres replaced doesn’t have to take up your whole day. Instead, you can get your tyres fitted from the comfort of your own home.
Our mobile fighting experts are equipped with the latest technology, ensuring a seamless experience. Let’s take a look at some of the major benefits of mobile tyre fitting.
Benefits of mobile car services
Even though we have over 600 centres in the UK, and while we pride ourselves on Fitting Quickly, a trip for a replacement tyre still takes time out of your schedule. With mobile tyre fitting, there’s no extra effort needed on your part and - no wasted time. You won’t even need to think about making sure you have petrol for the journey. Instead, we come to you (at home or at your place of work) with UK-wide coverage.
Our mobile vans are equipped with the latest tyre-changing and balancing technology, ensuring top-quality service. Our highly trained technicians are ISO 9001 accredited, guaranteeing peace of mind and safety. And, by booking a Kwik Fit mobile tyre fitting slot, you can save money by taking advantage of our exclusive online prices.
Wide range of tyre options
You can get new tyres fitted by an expert mobile fitting technician in the morning, afternoon, or evening, almost anywhere in the UK between Monday-Saturday. And, in some regions (such as those within the M25), you can even get appointments on a Sunday. They’ll also give you a call when they’re on their way, so you can avoid sitting around waiting.
Noticed a tyre issue on your way to work? You can schedule your car maintenance for as soon as possible with our next day service, or take advantage of our express tyre fitting service. Simply call before 11am Monday to Thursday, and we’ll do what we can to fit you in.
Importantly, this takes a lot of guesswork out of the equation – you don’t have to worry about whether the right tyres will be available, or whether your local centre has them in stock. Kwik Fit stocks an extensive range of over 3 million tyres from leading brands, ensuring that we can order and deliver the perfect tyres for your car in time for your appointment.
We have a huge range of tyres available from the world's leading tyre manufacturers, covering a variety of tyre types, including performance tyres, all-season tyres, and budget options, so you’re sure to find exactly what you need. Our technicians will make sure they’re the right ones for your car, giving you peace of mind and convenience.
Comprehensive vehicle maintenance
While getting a new tyre can often feel time-consuming, it’s absolutely necessary if you want to avoid potentially costly breakdowns, or, worse, accidents. Damaged tyres can lead to serious issues for a number of components within your car. This doesn’t necessarily mean a ‘sudden, surprising breakdown’ but, over time, leads to what can feel like a sudden, surprising breakdown. Many drivers whose cars seem to fall apart all at once (that is, the ones that fail an MOT with a lot of advisories) are the ones that haven’t been maintained.
One minor thing, unchecked, wears away at other minor things until, all of a sudden, you have a chain reaction of problems that need fixing at the same time. Opting for regular tyre care & maintenance, therefore, gives you the best chance of avoiding this - and especially avoiding it happening on the road. This is why we recommend keeping up to date with maintenance with our subscription based Kwik Fit Club.
Quality service, made convenient
Our mobile tyre fitting service offers the same high-quality experience as our garage service, with added convenience. Our mobile tyre fitting vans are fully equipped with the best balancing technology and latest tyre fitting equipment, too. You’ll also have the choice of over 60,000 tyres, so you can get fitted with the right tyre at the right cost. Plus, if it turns out your tyre can be repaired rather than refitted, we’ll do the job and refund you the difference.
With the Kwik Fit mobile tyre fitting service, you can put on the brakes and relax, knowing that your car will be ready for the road at your convenience. Book an appointment here, or learn more about our mobile services by contacting your local Kwik Fit centre today.

Your tyre size can be found on the sidewall of your current tyre and is a sequence of numbers and letters. The most common tyre size in the UK is 205/55R16 but there are many variations so it’s important to check your existing tyre first before searching for tyres.
Tip: Take a photo of your existing tyre sidewall to make it easier to identify your tyre size using the guide below.
The first three digits. This displays the width of the tyre in millimetres. A tyre marked 225 will measure 225mm across the tread from sidewall to sidewall.
Aspect Ratio
The fourth and fifth digits of the tyre code that immediately follow the tyre width. The aspect ratio or profile height of the tyre sidewall is expressed as a percentage of the tyre width. So an aspect ratio of 55 for example means that the profile height of the tyre is 55% of its width.
Rim Diameter
The next two digits represent the size of the wheel rim that the tyre can be fitted to. It is also the diameter of the tyre from bead to bead. So a tyre marked 16 will fit on a 16-inch wheel rim.
Speed Rating
The speed rating of a tyre is represented by a letter of the alphabet at the end of the tyre size code and indicates the maximum speed capability of the tyre. Tyres receive a speed rating based on a series of tests which measure the tyres capability to handle a set speed for a prolonged period of time.
Select your tyre speed rating to find out the maximum speed your tyres can maintain.
If you are unsure what speed rating you need, be sure to check your vehicle handbook. Choosing a lower speed rating than that recommended by your vehicle manufacturer could potentially invalidate your insurance.
Load Rating
The load index provides information on the maximum weight capability for the tyre. The load index is a numerical code that can be located just after the tyre size marking and before the speed rating.
Select your load index to find out the maximum load capability for your tyres.
Although not illegal, it is not advisable to have tyres with a lower speed rating or load index than the manufacturer recommended tyre specification for your vehicle, or to have a combination of different tyre construction types. Consult your vehicle handbook to confirm your vehicle’s tyre speed rating and load index as well as any additional requirements.
